These are apps I use or am looking forward to trying out. If you haven’t downloaded them yet, here’s a free preview.
If your favorite was left off the list add it in the comment section.
18 Birdies – Free
It’s fairly new, but if you’ve watched any Golf Channel then you’ve probably seen their commercial.
Free version offers an above average GPS and side bets. Also allows you to share scores and compete with friends along with a few other features.
There is a premium version that you can try for free for 30 days. This version offers more bets and a more detailed GPS. Give it a shot. Just remember to cancel before the 30 days is up if it’s not worth the fee.
Shot Tracer – $3.99
Shot Tracer allows you to trace your shots, swings and putts. This is a new app that has some kinks to work out, but I am excited about the possibilities.
It’s selling for $3.99 now, but the price is expected to rise as the technology improves.
The Rules of Golf – Free
Always be the smartest guy on the course with this app. What’s the difference between a lateral hazard and a water hazard? The Rules of Golf app will let you know.
PGA Tour – Free
Want to track your favorite pro while at work? Download the PGA Tour app if you haven’t already.
V1 Golf – Free
Improve your game with a personal swing analysis tool on your phone. The V1 Golf app also allows you to share your videos via social media and email.
Swing analysis tools include: Slow-mo, zoom, drawing and angle measurement tool.
